Alpha Sigma Rho Sorority, Inc. was created

at the University of Georgia at Athens

on April 2, 1998 by our 12 Founding Mothers. Their mission was to spread sisterhood and Asian-awareness.

ASR treasures empowering women, celebrating the differences in our sisters, and creating lasting bonds of friendship. ASR has included sisters of all races, ethnicities, and backgrounds. Our aim is to promote sisterhood, Asian-awareness, academic excellence, and service.

The Lambda Chapter of Alpha Sigma Rho Sorority, Inc. was established in 2020 as the first Asian-interest sorority at the University of Pittsburgh.​
